Mcrain, don't try changing history. Look back at all the left-wing loons screaming racist, war-monger, 'blood for oil' when Bush attacked Iraq... where are they now? It's the media to a lesser extent, but they certainly play a role.

I was right here saying we shouldn't be invading without more evidence and more time for the UN to search for WMDs, and I'm sure you would consider that yelling war-monger, blood for oil, etc..., but I'm not a "party insider", candidate or elected official. As for those on the left before Iraq, one guy who opposed the war from the start is president today.
Compare today to prior to the Iraq war. Today there are some democrats airing concerns about this action. Before the Iraq war, the GOP in congress were less independent than a sock puppet. Other than Ron Paul (who I know you support), did anyone in the GOP offer any criticism? If not, then isn't your party worse? I mean, you ONLY have one person who can claim with a straight face that he is not being a hipocrite in his criticism today. ONLY one.
As for Paul, you're probably right, unless people wake up, unless something happens, he won't get the nomination. That's why I'm doing all I can now to help the cause and promote his values across my state. No, I did not see the 'ghostwritten' pamphlet. What's the significance. And Rand didn't trip over anything.

NC RS's know nothing. Maybe today will be different when I call. We have 3 stores selling the phone out of maybe 10. I talked to one and he told me that what ever they get will be on 1st come bases.
So I'm not sure if my best bet is just to camp out at the apple store from which I hear will be getting a lot for "walk ins".
Also i'm trying to buy two phones so if ugp is right about most stores getting 3-5. I'm sure if any pre orders are wrote down at those stores, My chances are slim to none.
Here the stores were told one per person.

This poor cache design will kill off the G5's fast in rendering intensive workspaces.
The G5 has only 1MB of cache and it's per core not per cpu. If one core needs to cache 3.5MB of data it's possible on the Mac Pro becauce the CPU cache is fully unified.
I just ran Cinebench 9.5 on my Mac Pro and got 4 Cpu's Showing and a healthy 3.5 Ratio. (That means the CPU's are working together very well, thanks to the Intel Smart Cache.)

If the new Final Cut is 64-bit it will presumably rely on AV-kit.
folks said the same thing about FCS3 and Snow Leopard and yet as I recall that is exactly what they did.
I always felt the reason FCS3 came out just before SL was precisely because it wasn't 64-bit and was more of a maintenance release, whereas SL was touting Grand Central Dispatch etc etc...

I'd be willing to bet that there will be at least two major surprises on Monday, one to do with some fab capability in Leopard that Apple has succeeded in keeping us in the dark about, and one fab piece of consumer hardware. By the second, I don't mean something we all expect like Mac Pros or Meroms in the MBPs. I mean something radical. Something that will make some real headlines.

Apple is coming out of the shadows now, with sales and mindshare building at a strong pace. Waiting until January to annouce big new consumer pushes because WWDC is for developers won't do anymore. No, not really. You see, mobile phone is cheaper to use than landline in many countries, especially for mobile to mobile calls. And when everyone else has a mobile phone, if you want to be connected you're better off buying a mobile.

I think all this is just a dumbing down of what is an amazing OS. I don't use my mac with dual displays anything like I'd use an iPad, so why put that crap in there? I just don't like the direction they are taking OSX in general, and I doubt I will upgrade from snow leopard. To me this is very sad news, the day OSX and iOS merge is the day the mac dies.
Relax. The sky is not falling. iOS and OS X rely on different user interaction. They will never be merged. Lion is not a "dumbing down." No features have been removed. You don't have to use fullscreen apps, or Launchpad, or the hidden scrollbars, or the gestures, or anything else that reminds you of iOS. Mission Control works better with Expose, IMO. The "All windows" view was way too cluttered. And normal expose for specific apps is still there.
Versions, Resume, the new Mail, MC and refinements to the interface are all awesome features that still makes Lion worth it even if you decide to avoid the more overt iOS influences.
I'm pretty susre you don't HAVE to use the new stuff. Old expose is still there for instance.

Apple have become more and more greedy, and you can bet the Mac OS coders cant be bothered to work on its ancient codebase when across the office a group of people get to play with the newer (granted still based on Mac OS) iOS.
